Pally Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Pally ("Application", "Pally", "we") mobile application operated by Zeynep Altuntaş. By downloading or using the Application, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Application.

1. Description of the Service

Pally is an application that allows users to record and share their expenses within a group and to calculate the balances between them. The Application also offers an optional artificial intelligence assisted receipt scanning feature.

2. Accounts

• A valid email address is required to create an account, and you accept that the information you provide is accurate.
• You are responsible for the security of your account and your password.
• You must notify us if you become aware of unauthorised use of your account.
• You may use the service only in a manner that complies with the law.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

Pally's core features are free. Certain features (e.g. artificial intelligence receipt scans made in excess of the free monthly quota) are offered under Pally Premium.

Auto-renewing subscriptions.

• Premium is offered as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for a new period of the same length.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from your device's App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Current prices are shown in the Application on the purchase screen and may vary by region.
• Refunds are subject to Apple's App Store refund policy; since we do not collect payments directly, refund requests are handled through Apple.

4. About the Artificial Intelligence Feature

The receipt scanning feature attempts to extract expense information from an image automatically, but the results may not always be accurate. It is your responsibility to check the extracted amount, date and other information before saving. Pally does not guarantee the accuracy of the results obtained from this feature.

5. User Content

• The data you enter into the Application (groups, expenses, member names, etc.) belongs to you.
• You grant us a limited permission to host and process this content, solely so that we can provide the service to you.
• You accept that you have the necessary permissions when entering the information of the people you add to a group, and that you comply with applicable data protection rules.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to do the following:

• Use the Application for unlawful purposes,
• Infringe the rights of others or cause them nuisance,
• Attempt to breach the security of the service, to reverse engineer it, or to damage the infrastructure,
• Use automated methods that abuse the service.

If you breach these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your account.

7. Intellectual Property

The Application itself, its design, its brand ("Pally") and its software belong to us and are protected by copyright and intellectual property rights. These Terms grant you only the right to use the Application for personal use; they do not transfer ownership of the Application.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we do not warrant that the Application will operate uninterrupted or error free. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the Application. Expense and balance calculations are based solely on the data you enter; responsibility for your financial decisions rests with you.

9. Termination

You may terminate these Terms at any time by deleting your account. We may terminate your access in the event of a breach of the Terms or where legally required.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are subject to the laws of the Republic of Türkiye and shall be interpreted in accordance with those laws. In the event of disputes, the competent courts and enforcement offices (icra daireleri) in Türkiye have jurisdiction.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. For significant changes we will change the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Application after an update means that you accept the current Terms.
